What do you like about living in the Clarence Valley?

I love my school and the friendships I have formed there. Grafton Public School has many opportunities and has amazing support staff. I feel grateful to be part of the Grafton community and find there is always something to get involved in. I feel very safe and supported.

How do you spend your spare time?

I am heavily involved in the dance community and fill my time with lessons and practice, which I love. My Ashley Albert Performing Arts dance family means a lot to me and has made me feel confident with in myself.

Why did you become a Jacaranda Queen Candidate?

In the past I have watched the Queens and Princesses be crowned and I knew this was something I wanted to be part of. I feel it would be a great opportunity for me to meet new friends and do some fundraising within the local community.

What event during the Jacaranda Festival Is special to you and why?

From the first time I was in Prince Street watching the Jacaranda floats and the amount of people from the community that were involved, I just knew I wanted to be part of it. We are very lucky to have such a great opportunity to be a part of something so great. My family and I are involved every year this is why it is so special to me.

What would it mean to you if you were chosen as Jacaranda Queen or Princess?

I would be grateful to be chosen as I feel I have fulfilled a major personal goal. Grafton is my home and I want to represent it in the best way possible by getting involved with in the community events and fundraising. I love meeting new people and I can’t think of a better way of meeting the people of the Clarence Valley then getting involved with the Jacaranda Festival.

What do you like about living in the Clarence Valley?

It’s a great place with lovely surroundings and a friendly atmosphere. I have a lot of friends here and I have room for all my animals. There are so many after-school activities. I love all the festivals and events that are fantastic for families.

How do you spend your spare time?

I enjoy horse riding, singing, dancing, Navel Cadets, reading, cooking and camping. I also like to help painting the house.

Why did you become a Jacaranda Queen Candidate?

I was a candidate last year and I enjoyed everything about the experience. I got to make some lovely friends and I’d like to be able to use my position this year to help others and my community. It’s great to be a role model for younger girls wanting to be a candidate in the future.

What event during the Jacaranda Festival Is special to you and why?

The Jacaranda Ball because I had a great time with my family and loved dancing with my friends last year. I felt honoured to be in ambassador representing the Clarence Valley. I felt fabulous in my gown that my great grandmother made for me and we design together. I felt proud to have a photo with our local member Kevin Hogan and his wife and the ice cream from I Scream, was the highlight of the night. It was a night to remember.

What would it mean to you if you were chosen as Jacaranda Queen or Princess?

It would be an honour. I would feel proud to be an ambassador for the Clarence Valley community. I would gracefully represent Grafton at all the events and proudly show younger girls what it means to be a Jacaranda queen or Princess and encourage them to enter in the future years of the festival.

What do you like about living in the Clarence Valley?

I like living in the Clarence Valley because all my friends are here. Grafton is a really pretty town with all the Jacaranda trees lining the streets. We are also lucky to have such a great river and being so close to clean and uncrowded beaches.

How do you spend your spare time?

I like to spend my spare time reading, drawing, writing and I am learning how to sew. I also play the flute that I play in two ensemble bands at the Clarence Valley Conservatorium.

Why did you become a Jacaranda Queen Candidate?

I decided to become a Junior Jacaranda Queen Candidate because I wanted to be more involved in this unique and exciting festival. I am also looking forward to meeting new people and participating in community events.

What event during the Jacaranda Festival Is special to you and why?

My favourite Jacaranda Festival event is Jacaranda Thursday. I enjoy dressing up and meeting my friends to walk down the main street and participate in all of the excitement.

What would it mean to you if you were chosen as Jacaranda Queen or Princess?

I would be very honoured and proud to represent my family and sponsor. It would be a privilege to represent our community in this exciting and unique festival.

What do you like about living in the Clarence Valley?

My family has lived in the Grafton area for a very long time going back decades. There are a lot of community and sporting events to which I participate in; hockey, pony club, and touch football.

How do you spend your spare time?

I love reading, playing hockey, drawing and going to the family farm where I have lots of chooks, horses and cows. I love my dogs best of all. I love spending quality time with my family.

Why did you become a Jacaranda Queen Candidate?

I become very interested when I attended the 2019 Queen Crowning Ceremony and I ask my mum if I could do it this year as I like to be involved in meeting new people and achieving new goals.

What event during the Jacaranda Festival Is special to you and why?

The Queen crowning as it brings the community together and showcases our beautiful young ladies together. It has been the one consistent community event in Grafton for many years.

What would it mean to you if you were chosen as Jacaranda Queen or Princess?

It would mean the world to me, as it has been a dream of mine since I was six years old and we would come to Grafton just for the Jacaranda Festival when we lived away.
