It's time to celebrate everything PURPLE! We are closing the CBD streets to allow for a day of craziness and entertainment. Businesses will be dressed up to take out the Rose Bowl trophy and practicing their skits to head down to Market Square to compete for the Silver and Gold cups at lunch time.
Jacaranda Thursday will begin at 7am with the 2GF and Independent FREE breakfast in Market Square. Be there early as the lines are crazy. Market stalls will open in Prince, Pound and Fitzroy Street’s early and the tone will come alive with four stages of entertainment throughout the day.
JACARANDA STAGE | MARKET SQUARE - Commencing 7am
Entertainment to be announced
Silver & Gold Cup Business performances and awards will take place from 12.30pm and are the local businesses strutting their best (and worst) talents. These skits are hilarious and you will be bound to know someone disguised in a wig.
CLARENCE TUNES STAGE | PRINCE STREET - Commencing 8am - 2pm
Youth acts from across the Clarence Valley will have you dancing on the main street. Nash Crofton, a 16 year old budding event manager will support his peers on this stage. A showcase of incredible up and coming talent.
BIG RIVER ROCKERS STAGE | IN FRONT OF I SCREAM - Commencing 9am - 1pm
A checkered dance floor will define the 50’s for you to watch demonstrations from the Big River Rockers. They will definitely encourage you onto the floor to twist up a storm.
FITZROY STAGE | FITZROY STREET OUTSIDE WESTLAWN - Commencing at 9am - 2pm
Local bands with deliver originals and covers and will have you grooving on Fitzroy St. They will collaborate with the Westlawn team that will lip sync some classics. While Caringa might steal the show with their extremely talented crew.
